At the bottom of the M32, I caught sight of a Brown "Tourism sign" saying something along the lines of:
For Historic Portland & Brunswick Squares, turn right.
I'll try to get a photo next weekend. Now I'm all in favour of boosting local tourism, but a more accurate sign post would be "This way for prostitutes and drugs". It'll be interesting to see the rationale for trying to market these squares as a Tourist attraction.
There was some talk about closing the right turn into St Pauls from the bottom of the M32 last year. This would certainly remove the passing trade - i.e. junkies and punters - from the squares but wouldn't necessarily kick start the formation of a tourist attraction, and would be a massive inconvenience for people living in the area(l)
